Are you open to receive?
Are you open to receive?
As we begin to slide headlong into the holiday season, which is full of busy times and lots of giving, I want to talk with you about receiving.
Are you a good receiver?
Can you receive a compliment? A gift?
Or are you better at giving?
What does your ability to receive have to do with your fertility?
For a woman, conceiving is ultimately an act of reception: receiving the embryo into your uterus, into your body, and allowing this new life to create a space within you. I know that might sound a bit anthropomorphic, but just take a moment to check in with that description.
Conceiving and gestating a baby takes a tremendous amount of energy.
If you are constantly using the energy in your body and giving it away to an endless stream of external people, you decrease the amount of resources you have to put towards conception.
I’m certainly not saying that in order to conceive you need to stop all external activities. However, I would recommend you start looking at the balance of giving and receiving in your life.
Where are you expending energy?
Where and how are you receiving energy?
If you find an imbalance, what are the beliefs you hold that keep the balance from righting itself?
What is one way you could receive more today?
I give you complete and total permission to do something that might otherwise feel decadent or selfish; taking care of yourself and nurturing yourself is never selfish. Your reproductive organs will thank you!
