Can feeling peaceful REALLY change my emotional and physical health?

You already know how to create the feeling of peace and relaxation – read a good book, take a walk on the beach, take a long nap…. If all you had to do was live at the beach, or on a mountaintop, you could feel peaceful all the time.

But you don’t live on a mountaintop or on a beach.

You live in the real world – with deadlines and expectations and difficult people and bodies that don’t respond how you would like them to. Who has time for peace?

And yet, it seems like the harder you try to make things better, the worse you feel; strategies that made you feel better in the past have lost their effectiveness. You begin to get symptoms of other issues with more intensity and/or frequency than you’ve ever had before:

  • Sadness
  • Anxiety
  • Insomnia
  • Intense Frustration
  • Anger
  • Depression
  • Panic Attacks
  • Fluctuating Moods

  • Constant Fatigue
  • Constant Irritation

So what do you do?

You may believe that you could reach the “picture perfect” life and “picture perfect” health and yes, even peace, if only you could magically eliminate the things that cause you stress. Wouldn’t it be wonderful to eliminate the people and activities from your day to day life that create all your headaches?

But, you know from experience that this isn’t the answer -- something is always cropping up. Plus, it isn’t even just the world around you that creates the problem.

Did you know that not only is it impossible to control the world around you, but when you are in times of stress, your body actually works against you, creating even more feelings of stress unintentionally?

Here’s what happens:

Regardless of how you want it to respond, your body is always listening to how you are feeling and acts accordingly. Your body feels and acts on stress that comes at you from the outside – your day-to-day interactions; as well as from the inside – your thoughts and beliefs.

There is a way out of this cycle

At Anji, what we’ve seen is that while you can’t fully eliminate the source of the stress, you can learn how to respond and work with your body and mind’s reaction to what is happening. As you learn to work with your body during times of stress, you find that suddenly you are able to control your reaction to your daily life instead of your daily life controlling your reaction. You become the one in control.

Learn to create peace in your body mind and spirit no matter what is going on in your daily life. When you do this, you will

  • put yourself back in control
  • your body back in balance,
  • find yourself thriving instead of simply surviving
